Respiratory Virus Testing

When your child is coughing, feverish, and miserable, knowing which virus is behind it changes what we do next. We run PCR testing for flu, RSV, and COVID-19 right here in the office — the gold standard for pinpointing respiratory viruses.

The test is a single nasal swab and takes about five minutes. PCR detects even tiny amounts of viral material, so we can tell flu from RSV from COVID-19 with confidence and match the diagnosis to the right care.

Bring your child in when you see fever, fatigue, a persistent cough, runny nose, congestion, sore throat, body aches, shortness of breath, or a loss of taste or smell. The sooner we identify the virus, the sooner we can start the right treatment.
